What to Expect

Connections
Let's face it...owning a bookkeeping business can be lonely. The trials and opportunities we face are unique. Wouldn't it be great to meet with others who know what you're going through? Guess what? They're all here at BKX.

Confidence
Experience, "they" say, brings knowledge. I call horse-hockey on this. It's all about learning the right skills at the right time. AND...skills that your clients will actually pay you good money to perform. Those kinds of skills lead to confidence. This is what BKX delivers.

Advancement
Propel your business (and life) forward. Where else can you go as a BK Pro and be surrounded by ONLY BK Pros? Ummm, that would be no to the where. Except BKX!

Belonging
Tribe. Family. Posse. Whatever you call us, we are "different". That uniqueness means that we need to stick together. We come together here...at BKX.
Agenda

Jonathan VanHorn
President/Founder, Tooth & Coin

Jonathan VanHorn
Jonathan created Tooth & Coin to solve the problem facing many dentists – they have a complicated business and their time is stretched way too thin. Most dentists spend 15,000 hours learning to be a dentist but ZERO hours learning how to be a business owner.
Tooth & Coin aims to completely automate and outsource the bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax portion of the dentist’s business so that they can focus on what really matters in their practice. By creating an automated workflow for the dentist and by focusing on showing dentists what numbers they need to be watching, Tooth & Coin has allowed dental practices around the country to raise profits by hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.
Jonathan is proud to have been honored as a rising star in Arkansas Business’ 40 Under 40 Class of 2019. This list recognizes 40 intriguing business and political leaders under 40 years old and is nominated by readers and chosen by the editors of Arkansas Business.
When not interviewing dentists on his podcast Start Your Dental Practice, coaching dentists on being a better business owner, or just nerding it up with business owners about ways to be more profitable Jonathan enjoys spending time going to the lake with his wife April, daughter Harper, and son Finn. He’s also been known to play golf (poorly).
Weird facts about Jonathan – he was once ranked in the top ten in the nation at whiffleball, played bass guitar in a rock band for eight years, and spent his college years playing semi-professional poker.
